This guide for The Daily Orange was released on 4/20 to commemorate the day dedicated to marijuana-cannabis celebrations by those who participate in cannabis culture. This short 8-page guide spotlighted local community members and conversations surrounding cannabis culture and usage.

Type that's Lit
I wanted the typography in this guide to reflect the nature of cannabis culture in contrast to everything else - and thus chose something that differed heavily from what you usually see in traditional print mediums like a newspaper.
Dyna puff is a cartoonish reflection of smoke clouds, and I gave this knockout treatment to help push the type into being a focus for the design. Benton is used for finer detailed information like cutlines and bylines.
