How to brew the perfect solution, every time.
1. Define
What’s the problem we’re
being asked to solve?
At the start of any project, we ask: What are we making? Who’s it for? We have to understand the ask before we brew the answer. Clarity here sets the tone for everything that follows.
2. Immerse
Learning what fills more
than just our own cup.
A deep dive into the audience, the space, the culture, and the needs of this project and what it wants to be.We study before we design—absorbing what we can, taking things apart, and listening to people’s needs to better understand their world.
3. Explore
Mix, play, test—
see where the ideas go.
We explore names, logos, layouts, and language—this is where creativity flows.
We gather ingredients, test flavors, and start to see what this thing could become. The cup isn’t full yet. It’s still brewing, but it’s well on its way.
4. Refine
Sample, adjust, and
rework until it’s balanced.
We’re not after “good enough.” We test, refine, ask more questions, and even return to earlier steps when needed. We’re pouting heavy on iterations, making adjustments based on feedback, and testing out solutions.
The best things take time—and a few extra rounds—to get just right.
5. Improvise
The secret ingredient is
sometimes in what you don’t plan.
More often than not, things don’t go as expected. That’s when we improvise—not out of panic, but out of possibility.
It might mean asking a different question or trying something a little crazy to find the answer. No two moments are ever the same, but a splash of improvisation at the right time can create magic.
6. Serve
Hot and ready to-go.
The brew is ready, and we deliver something thoughtful, complete, and designed to be shared.
The process ends the way it began—with care, clarity, and craft.
