My step-by-step to brewing the perfect design solution, every time.
1 Define
What’s the problem we need to solve?At the start of any project, we ask: What are we making? We have to understand the ask before we can produce a palettable answer. Clarity here sets the tone for the rest of the process.
2 Immerse
Learn what fills more than our own cup.We study before we design, absorbing everything, breaking things down, and listening to others to better understand the problems we’re addressing.
3 Explore
Mix, play, test and see where ideas go.We explore names, logos, layouts, models, wireframes, language, and combinations. This is where creativity flows. Testing as much as we can, and exploring all possibilities to find whats right.
4 Refine
Sample, adjust, and rework until it’s right.We’re not after “good enough”. We test, reduce, maybe ask more questions, and return to previous steps if needed. The best things can take time to get just right.
5 Improvise
The secret ingredient (sometimes).It might be as simple as asking a different question or going in a new direction to find the right answer. It’s never the same, but being open to sprinkling in something new can only lead to better results.
6 Serve
Hot and ready to-go.This design brew is ready, and we deliver something thoughtful, complete, and created to be shared, whether with a few people, or thousands.
