Nike Brand Initative


Remaking a streetwear icon.



Overview
To deepen its connection to artists, Nike launched Canvas — an initiative that reimagined the Air Force 1 as a platform for artistic expression. Prominent street artists in different cities created work on the shoes, auctioned via SNKRS, and in-store experiences let the public create their own custom pairs, using the same tools and methods of street artists, blending the Swoosh’s style with personal expression.

Identity
Canvas’ branding treats Nikes established toolkit as a structured, but blank, surface, letting it be defined by the colors and patterns of the art, cities, and artists it partners with.




















Canvas Studio Experience
An in-store experience lets Nike customers customize their own shoe using a library of artistic tools and mediums.
Concept
The space itself is meant to transform as it’s used. Becoming covered with the excess people produce when customizing their shoe, just like in a studio.






Advertising Campaign
The promotional campaign for this initative flips the brands iconic phrases to imply how you can paint, mark, sketch, and draw the Air Force 1 your way.
