Love, love, love.
On June 12th 1967, Mildred and Richard Loving defied racist state laws that dictated who Americans could love and marry, winning their case in the Supreme Court to their right to marry in the state of Virginia, one of many states that banned inter-racial marriages. Since then, Loving Day has represented a pivotal moment in the fight for social and racial equality in the United States, setting a precedent that movements since have stood on, and it deserves its own commemoration that speaks to the impact it continues to have on the people we love.
